How did Viajera en Tailandia get started?
If you ask me how Viajera en Tailandia got started, Viajera en Tailandia tell you that it all began with my eyes closed and without giving much thought to whether it would work out—I just trusted and believed in my intuition.
My original plan wasn't to start a business, but to continue working with UN agencies or NGOs on environmental or social projects. Maybe I'll return to that someday, but right now, here in Thailand, life has led me to take the plunge, to create and give my all to share—through travel— meaningful experiences and connections between nature, communities, and travelers, all in the name of promoting sustainability in Thailand.
For years , I used to write endless lists in my journals —words and phrases about topics that inspired me and sparked my curiosity. I did it as a way to clear my mind and figure out what my soul was telling me—because that’s where the answers to everything lie.
Among the words she repeated over and over were: nature, activism, education, art, communities, creativity, food, sustainability, plants, pleasures, enjoyment, photography, crafts, yoga, community-based tourism, travel, the art of storytelling, innovation, women, and regeneration.
Now these lists make sense in terms of how the idea and purpose behind Viajera en Tailandia shape. Connecting the dots and talking openly with others about my business idea was key in the early stages. In the end, what starts out as an idea quickly turns into reality if you take it seriously.
Along the way, you meet people who lend you a hand and inspire you, discover effective tools, strengthen your discipline, become more skilled at tasks that used to be difficult for you, and, above all, you start to go with the flow and solve problems as you go because you realize that perfection doesn't exist and that the only way to move forward is by taking action.
So what has happened in the past year?
The journey of entrepreneurship—of starting a business—is a major challenge because it forces you to face everything head-on. You need to stand your ground and believe in your abilities, grounding yourself in your convictions and what matters most to you. That’s why, at the end of the day, it’s so rewarding to see the fruits of your labor, whether or not they turn out exactly as you planned.
After a year of taking my online business seriously and giving it the time and attention it deserved, today I have achieved:
- We have more than 15 female travelers in Thailand using our services.
- Create a website.
- Build a strong team.
- Gain more than 70 subscribers to our newsletter.
- Build partnerships with local partners.
- Donate 5% of the cost of each consultation to a responsible elephant sanctuary in northern Thailand that we know well and that prioritizes animal welfare and support for the Karen ethnic group.
What’s more, sustainable travel is a core part of this brand. That’s why I love educating and sharing valuable information with female travelers like you across various digital platforms.
So, if I can do it, so can you. If you have an idea, bring it to life and follow your intuition—that might just be the key! Today is a great day to get started . If you believe in it, you can make it happen!
If you want to travel around Thailand, this is the place for you!
